This week the VLBA department hosted the 1st HEdIS workshop at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. Starting with a pre-workshop on Monday, discussing topics such as establishing stakeholder needs, module participant profiles, defining the various definitions for sustainability, determining stakeholder roles, and defining the projects learning platform. Dumisani and Martin present their PhD topics

On Wednesday 21st June Dumi and Martin presented their PhD topics at VLBA department (University of Oldenburg). Dumisani Nyumbeka is a 2nd year PhD student at the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth. His PhD research focuses on creating a scheduling model for the charging of electric vehicles using photovoltaic (PV) powered smart microgrids. From 27th to 29th June 2017, the Very Large Business Applications department (VLBA), will be hosting the first module development workshop of the HEdIS project at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.
