Students can apply now – Summer School on Sustainability Entrepreneurship in Cape Town
The project Hub for Education on ICT for Sustainability offers every year within the project runtime a Summer School. This year’s Summer School is on Sustainability Entrepreneurship in the frame of ICT and will take place at the University of Cape Town from the 19th to 30th November 2018.
The main objective is to raise awareness of the topic and the potential of ICT in this regard, and aims to facilitate and encourage entrepreneurship by providing skills and tools to establish sustainable entrepreneurial business solutions with ICT relevance in South Africa. A healthy mix of lectures, experts and field trips will allow participants to experience the topic in an interactive way. Participants will work in groups on developing and pitching a business model, which will be evaluated on sustainable and entrepreneurial aspects in a South African context. To guide the participants through the group assignment, selected design thinking methods will be used and taught.
Students from the University of Oldenburg can apply now: Applications can be submitted until the 6th of September, and notifications will be sent out to successful applicants by the 20th of September. For successful applicants, the costs of participating at the Summer School will be covered by scholarships. Further information for applying students of the University of Oldenburg can be found under About and Downloads.
